Introducing you to Ian Hutchings
Welcome to my business and applied arts website! I bring a unique blend of experience as a project and safety professional with a strong foundation in quality-safety-environmental culture and hands-on laboratory experience in the petroleum sector. My journey started as a journalist in Newfoundland and Western Canada, and I’ve carried those storytelling and investigative skills into my current work.
I hold a Certificate in Project Management from Coursera (2023) and two diplomas from the College of the North Atlantic: Environmental Engineering Technology (2014) and Journalism (2004). Additionally, I’m proud to be a certified professional technologist through the Association of Engineering Technicians and Technologists of Newfoundland and Labrador (AETTNL).
I have a passion for the applied arts, which is where the “Media” department originates. My long-running blog, The Newfoundland Inkslinger, self-publishes on this website. The blog will also provide business updates.
